All About the Veho Micro DV Camcorder

Compact Size
The Veho MUVI Micro DV Camcorder is not for everyone but if you want a compact video camera this is what you should get. It’s only 2.2 inches long and weighs 1.8 ounces. The compact size makes it ideal for people on the go. Simply slip it in your pocket and forget about the camera until you need it.
Low Price
With prices going down in the last few years, the Veho Muvi Micro DV Camcorder is now one of the cheapest camcorders on the market today. Compare the under-$60 price tag with other camcorders and you will see that it comes out ahead in terms of price.
Storage
The Veho MUVI comes with a 2-GB SD memory card but it will take SD cards up to 8GB capacity. When recording, it captures 30-minute video clips and automatically starts a new one for continuous recording. The 2GB micro-SD card can hold up to 2 hours footage. A micro USB cable easily attaches the camcorder to your computer so you can upload your videos quickly. The Veho MUVI also charges through the USB.
Performance
If you want to capture quality images while on the move, the MUVI DV camcorder will not disappoint. It captures 2 megapixel images which are stored in AVI format. Video recording is captured at a decent 30 frames per second. While 2 megapixels may not seem like much, it is comparable with many normal-size entry level models. For such a handy and compact digital camcorder, you are not sacrificing much in terms of image quality.
Considering its size, the sound quality is good enough. As long as it’s not very windy, you can get decent audio recordings.
The video camcorder’s operation is voice activated, allowing you to keep your hands free when recording extreme sports such as climbing, mountain biking, and skiing.
Battery Life
The Veho VCC003MUVI Micro DV Camcorder comes with a built-in rechargeable battery. When fully charged, the Lithium-ion battery provides up to 3 hours of recording time.
Connectivity
The Veho MUVI is very easy to connect with your PC using the included USB cable. You can quickly transfer your videos to your computer’s hard disk. The camcorder can also be recharged via the USB cable. Being able to use the Veho MUVI as a webcam is an added bonus.
Easy to Attach
The Veho VCC003MUVI Micro DV Camcorder goes where regular video cameras cannot go and attaches to many different types of equipment using the included clip. Accessories for the video camera are also available, including an extreme sports pack for mounting the camera on your helmet for mountain biking, skiing, skateboarding, etc. This point-of-view camera allows you to capture the action as it happens.

Muvi Veho Customer Reviews

For most customers, the primary benefit of this camera is its compact size. It is quite possibly the smallest consumer-type video camera. The Veho MUVI micro DV camera is also very affordably priced.
For the price, this video camera takes decent video recordings. The audio may not be that great especially with wind noise, but for most people it is acceptable. Customers are satisfied with the product, saying it offers good value for the price.

The camera does not offer a lot of features or settings but for the most part people only want a rugged camcorder that they can easily mount on their equipment without worrying that it might break. Customers also appreciate the optional accessories that they can buy to attach the camera to handlebars and other equipment.
Customers understand that this is not a high definition camera and they are satisfied with the video quality. However, they have a problem with the too-short battery life and the camera’s limited 30-minute video clips. Although the Veho MUVI automatically starts a new video file after the 30-minute recording limit, it is still a hassle for some people.

Here’s what Amazon customers have to say about the Veho VCC 003 Muvi:

“I’ve bought 3 or 4 cameras of this type for use at work. I’ve bought 2 different helmet cameras that worked kind of okay, but this one knocks it out of the park. The case is built like a tank, it’s very easy to use…(read more here: Veho VCC 003 Muvi Review)”

“I bought this after being recommended by my Sergeant. Other officers had purchased the $120 camera from Galls. This is the exact same camera at almost a third of the price. Works ok in low light and excellent in bright and medium light. For the price, it can’t be beat…(read more here: Veho VCC003 Muvi Micro DV Camcorder Review)”
