A bluetooth video camera? Excuse me? I don’t even know what that is! Well don’t feel bad, I didn’t either until I started looking for a wearable camera and kept running across a product called the Looxcie Wearable Bluetooth Camera.
A bluetooth camcorder is used in conjunction with your smartphone to record real-time video and then broadcast videos or still photos to friends via e-mail or text message. These camcorders take social media to a whole new level as you can automatically post pictures on Facebook or Twitter with just the touch of a button. Some bluetooth video cameras even allow you to use your smartphone as a remote control for the camera. You can also use your phone to zoom in or out on what you are recording.
There are a few drawbacks, however, to this technology. One thing is how quickly the battery drains. Since the bluetooth camcorder is recording all the time, it drains the battery pretty quickly. This really isn’t a big deal so long as you just keep an eye on the battery level while you are recording.
Some nay-sayers also say that the price of the bluetooth video camera is another drawback. We, however, disagree with that.
